Hey Everyone!

Sorry about not being on top of things with the blog, but WOW, what a fall season it was. FingerSnappin’ Entertainment was extremely busy this season. From September to December, we have traveled to North Carolina (twice) and all over the Low Country and providing the best entertainment around!

Our 2012 calendar even looks busier for us. Thank you so much to the past, present and future couples that have used our services! Without you, we wouldn’t be able to show our skills. If you have used our services, please pass our information to anybody that needs a DJ or a Photo Booth (it would great appreciate!). Also, if you have used our services, please go to The Knot or Wedding Wire and write a review about us (be nice!

We are now getting into the “Engagement Season” and we are now preparing for the upcoming bridal shows. Please stop by our booths and say “hello”.

Also, we have a suprise for everyone at the upcoming bridal shows. Let’s just say that we will be the 1st in Charleston to have this option to our newlyweds. I think it is going to be a hit.

North Carolina Wedding ~ Oct 1st, 2011

Greetings!

Fall is finally here and we definitely felt it this past weekend! FS Entertainment went up to Reidsville, NC (near Greensboro, save you the trouble of looking it up on a map ) to do the wedding for Sarah and Ben. The first fall cool day was with us and everybody felt it. The wedding was beautiful, but it was outside and everybody forgot their coats, lol.

What a great venue it was. Located back up in the woods away from everything, very peaceful. They ended up building a bonfire and everybody sat back and listened to some great music. Everybody got their dancing fix in early in the afternoon before the sunset. The food was great as well.

A special thanks goes out to Cynthia and her family for helping me out this past weekend.

I really enjoyed myself and a “thank you” goes out to Sarah and Ben for allowing me to be a part of their special day. Have a safe honeymoon in Charleston!

Farmer/ Parys Wedding – September 17th, 2011

What a great time at the Farmer/ Parys Wedding! Thank you goes out to Ashley and Travis for allowing me to be their DJ on their special day.

This was the first time that myself and FingerSnappin’ Entertainment has been out to Pepper Plantation in Awendaw. Wow, what a place that is! Pepper Plantation was made for weddings, what a beautiful place! Having the ceremony on the lawn overlooking the lake is a photographer’s dream (atleast it would be mine if I was a photographer-lol).

It was great meeting John and his crew at JNJ Photography. They were super nice and took some great photos (see attached).

What a dancing crowd we had at the wedding. The crowd was very responsive to all of the music I played throughout the evening. I even thought some people how to do the “Wobble”. If you don’t know how to do it, you need to get on Youtube and learn. It is a great dance!

Best wishes goes out to Ashley and Travis. I hope you guys enjoyed yourselves and it was a pleasure being a part of your day. Please keep me mind if any of your friends need a DJ

Professional and Low Key Wedding Entertainment

Dear Burt,

Happy New Year to you, and your family! We hope your wife and baby son are doing just fine. We were able to look at our wedding photos this week, and wanted you to know just how much we appreciated the way you were able to keep the party going with your professional, but low key, approach the day of our wedding.

In the pictures it is so easy to see the wave of music even without the sound, as there were calm periods followed by such fun and hilarious activity and dancing by all and sundry. It wouldn’t have been the special day it was for us without your involvement, and the fact that you had such important things going on in your own life that month was a testimonial to your dedication to doing a great job for your clients. We hope you got something to eat that day, it was all the extra we could afford for your efforts, but we will certainly pass your name along if the occasion arises that someone we know may need a great DJ.

Great Music Choices, Great Flow, Great Reception

One thing I learned from planning my wedding is that a DJ can make or break it. He is one of the most important aspects of pulling off a wonderful reception. I am so glad that I found Burt. Burt really did an awesome job at our wedding. We all had so much fun at the reception that my wedding director had a hard time getting us to leave! Before the wedding, Burt met with us and went over the music choices and helped us map out the flow of the reception. He also had great music suggestions too! During the reception he really was the one who kept the reception flowing and fun. He did a great job of playing all types of music which helped get everyone dancing from ages 8 to 80! He really made the day special!

Stress-Free DJ Services for Our Wedding

We wanted to thank you for the awesome job you did playing for our wedding. With everything we had going on, having you as a DJ was one of the few things that was stress-free. Everything from the music you played, getting people out on the dance floor, and letting people know about the different events (i.e. cake cutting, first dance, bouquet toss) was absolutely perfect. It all went off without a hitch and we could not have planned for it to go any better. We would definitely recommend you to our friends.

Amanda and I would like to tell you that you did an outstanding job at our wedding. Our first DJ disappeared on us and you came in less than three weeks before our wedding and had all of our music prepared for us earlier than expected. The fact that you showed up at the wedding much earlier, shows that you want to put on a great show for your clients. We where surprised at the amount of songs you had available on the spot when people where making requests. Amanda made a comment that every name that she gave you, you happened to play her favorite from each artist, and she had never told you the songs, just names. Everything was perfect and we were beyond pleased with everything you did for us. We hope to see you again at another wedding.

I’ve known Burt for years and I wouldn’t recommend any other DJ in Charleston to any of my clients. If you are looking for a FUN, professional, down-to-earth DJ with a great sense of humor, then please take my word for it… LOOK NO FURTHER.

There are several things I really love about working with Burt but one of the biggest things are how smoothly he handles wedding receptions. EVERY wedding we have together he keeps me on time (if not earlier) when the small “events” in a reception so I can capture it on film.
